Dear Colleagues and Friends,
We have organized a Special Issue of the Journal of Management, Spirituality and Religion (JMSR) on “(Re)Claiming the Sacred Feminine in Management and Organizations.” We are looking for your submissions.
The focus is on overcoming the social and ecological disunion, disharmony and fragmentation associated with a gendered dichotomization and differential valuing of what have been termed masculine and feminine aspects of spiritualities. Although the value of integrated approaches to spirituality is recognized here, given persistent inattention to and omission of the sacred feminine, the current call focuses on (re)claiming or re(integrating) the sacred feminine. We also welcome critical perspectives on the sacred feminine, including its appropriation as a tool for neoliberal capitalism. Conceptual papers, case studies, and other empirical research that advance theory and scholarship, while offering practical implications for management and organizations are of interest.
The deadline for full submissions is January 15, 2027, with an optional submission of a one-page abstract for feedback from the Editorial Team between March 15, 2026 to May 15, 2026.
