    What: We will be exploring current and future research on how 'mindful organizing' makes healthcare (and all organizations?) safer places to work, lead, and be human.

    About our guest

    Professor Vogus is the Brownlee O. Currey, Jr., Professor of Management at the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University. Nationally recognized for his research on making health care delivery safer (by reducing medical error), Dr. Vogus was named one of the 50 most influential business professors of 2013. His mindfulness research has received numerous awards, including the Owen Graduate School of Management Research Productivity Award. For his teaching, Dr. Vogus' has been recognized for numerous awards from both his university and the Academy of Management. In 2011, he was named one of the Top 40 Business School Professors under 40 by PoetsandQuants. At the Owen Graduate School of Management, Professor Vogus is the Faculty Director of the Leadership Development Program and the Deputy Director of the Frist Center for Autism and Innovation, where he is currently undertaking work on the study of autism.

    Sophia Town is Humanistic Management Research Fellow and Coordinator of the Research Center Consortium. She is a Visting researcher at Fordham University and received her Ph.D. from Arizona State University studying Mindful Leadership and Paradox.
