We invite you to Ottawa, ON, Canada on August 26th and 27th 2019 for the conference Meeting Points: Imagination and Spaces for Social Change.

Registration open until Monday 12th August, follow the link: Academic conferences

Join us for this two-day interactive event that will consider what creative solutions we can imagine to nurture inclusive communities, and what spaces we can shape to encourage positive social change. Through keynote panels, paper presentations and participatory workshops, the conference addresses, amongst others, the following questions:
    • Education: What pedagogies facilitate imagination and resilience in youth? How can schools support inclusive spaces for diverse student populations? How can education improvise solutions to address environmental and social challenges?
    • Arts: How can experiences of dance, music or songwriting build socially-engaged individuals? How does embodiment and improvisation nurture community welfare?
    • Community: What creative strategies sustain community development? How does decolonization help to reimagine Canadian communities? How can faiths create spaces for meaningful encounters?
    • Socio-economic realities: How can institutions enact sustainable solutions to social and economic exclusion? How does moral imagination trigger new discourses on public engagement?

    How do I register?
Registration fees include two full days of programming, lunches and coffee breaks, as well as the conference dinner.
    Regular rate CAD230 (+tax)
    Student rate CAD120 (+tax)
