You are cordially invited to submit a chapter to one or both of the following forthcoming publications:1. Palgrave Handbook of Workplace Well-Being will be published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2020. This Major Reference Work (MRW) is envisioned as a primary reference work on workplace wellness in business, psychology, health care, education, and various other allied fields, and offers a holistic perspective of workplace well-being and fulfillment. Its multi-dimensional construct will utilize findings from positive psychology, social psychology, organizational neuroscience, quantum physics, organizational behavior, and world's contemplative wisdom traditions to support the case for workplace flourishing. This is a daring thesis but we have seen the value of this line of inquiry. Workplace well-being is a happening field, fueled by the mounting research in positive psychology over the last two decades. It is especially relevant now, given the fact that majority of employees worldwide are disengaged at work, according to recent Gallup polls.
At its most fundamental level, the uniqueness of this Handbook lies in its anchorage in the moral and spiritual dimension of Well-being, an approach most relevant for contemporary times and organizations.
Authored/co-authored individual chapters will comprise 10,000 to 12,000 words and are due on August 31, 2019. 2. The Routledge Companion to Mindfulness at Work, a forthcoming Handbook (Companion) to be published by Routledge (Taylor & Francis) in 2020. This companion presents an up-to-date and comprehensive survey of the field of mindfulness, flow and creativity in the workplace and uses a structured yet open-ended conceptual schema to capture the best of research and practices on the subject of mindfulness. Presenting a clear and concise approach to workplace mindfulness, it traces the genesis and growth of this burgeoning field and suggests trends and future directions. It recognizes the subtlety of the multi-dimensional construct of mindfulness in the workplace and proposes to offer a holistic perspective incorporating findings from both the Eastern and Western wisdom traditions to support the case for workplace mindfulness. Authored/co-authored individual chapters for this Companion will comprise 5,000 to 7,500 words and are due on August 31, 2019. (extended deadline)
