Dear friends and colleagues,
We are excited to highlight a featured session, "Dwelling in the Data: Classic Grounded Theory as Contemplative Methodology for the Study of Transformative Experience", from the 2026 MSR Research Colloquium, "The Mystical and Research: Dwelling at the Threshold of Knowing".
In this session, Dr. Molly Stillwell invites us to explore classic Glaserian grounded theory as a contemplative methodology for studying transformative experience:
- How might emergent design, theoretical sensitivity, and radical openness to the data become pathways of spiritual inquiry?
- What becomes possible when researchers approach data with patience, humility, and a willingness to dwell at the threshold of knowing?
