Dear Colleagues (with apologies for cross-posting):
I recently had the pleasure of attending a wonderful one-man show called Incognito. The story is written and acted by Michael Fosberg, a man who was as a white middle class child, later finding out that he is actually black. Mr. Fosberg is on a mission to tell the very interesting and poignant story of his life to anyone who is interested in exploring the boundaries and definitions of race. Mr. Fosberg also holds Q&A sessions and/or workshops after each performance. In addition to theaters, K-12 schools, and conferences, Mr. Fosberg has presented his play at a number of Universities.
I wish I had known about this wonderful opportunity before the AOM program was complete as I think it would have been a wonderful Division activity, session or PDW, for minimal cost since Mr. Fosberg lives in Chicago.
Perhaps while you are in Chicago, you'd like to look him up, meet him if he's available, and book a show! You and your students will not be disappointed!
