Dear Management researchers, practitioners, and graduate students~
Many of you will be receiving feedback on AOM conference submission papers in the next couple weeks. As you begin to make plans for the August conference in Philadelphia, consider adding time afterwards for reflection and meditation at a beautiful local retreat center.
Each year, the MSR RETREAT begins Wednesday afternoon, right as the conference ends, and continues through Friday afternoon (Aug 8-10, 2007 this year).
The retreat seeks to create a reflective space for participants; it offers opportunities to renew our personal commitments to what we find meaningful in life.
It consists of a variety of reflective exercises and healing modalities offered by those who attend the retreat as well as some local practitioners.
If you are thinking, "I don't have time right now," it is you we most invite. Spouses and friends are also welcome.
This is a perfect time for reflection and renewal before a new academic year begins, and to experience and try out a variety of meditative techniques; and to connect with people around the world who incorporate such practices into their daily lives, teaching, and research.
This year the retreat will be held at Pendle Hill, a Quaker center located on 23 wooded acres just outside of Philadelphia, and of course the MSR retreat welcomes people of all religious and spiritual beliefs.
So mark your calendar now for the MSR reflective retreat on August 8-10, 2007!
A registration form is attached-please complete the form and send a check for $100 by April 1st to hold your space. This is an official activity of MSR and is potentially eligible as a reimbursement from your institutions or, if not reimbursed, may be potentially deductible for those who itemize. See registration form for refund policies.
