AOM 2009: MSR Annual Meeting Reviewer Participation

    Dear Everybody

My apologies for cross posting. The Academy of Management has recently announced that the Centralized Reviewer System is now open for reviewer signup. This system has many benefits including easier signup, retrieval, and return of reviews. It also offers a one-stop mechanism for signing up across all Academy divisions. You can access the system at http://review.aomonline.org/  I am coordinating the MSR Program for the AOM 2009 Conference at Chicago. We are expecting quite a few papers this year. The Reviewers play a crucial role in helping to transform these submissions into the high quality program that all members have come to expect from the MSR.

Could you help by giving us some of your time as Reviewer this year, please? Over and above to your own participation I would appreciate if you could activate others for this task, please. If you have missed Susan Jackson's (AOM Program Chair) and my announcements, I have posted them at the end of this email. You may forward those to others if you wish. Also, we will need some people to Chair the programs. Please do let me know if you are interested in this role as well. I am looking forward to your and your colleagues’ participation and thus help make our program in Chicago the best it can be.

      Thanking you in anticipation

Dear MSR Special Interest Group Member
The Management, Spirituality and Religion (MSR) Special Interest Group require your
help to build another outstanding program of scholarly activities for the 2009 Academy of Management Annual Conference in Chicago. The MSR attracts many submissions each year, and reviewers play a crucial role in helping to transform these submissions into the high quality program you have come to expect from the MSR. We need reviewers across the wide range of topics and methods that we are working on.

The Academy of Management has recently announced that the Centralized Reviewer System is now open for reviewer signup. This system has many benefits including easier signup, retrieval, and return of reviews. It also offers a one-stop mechanism for signing up across all Academy divisions. You can access the system at
http://review.aomonline.org/ . If you have missed Susan Jacksons Academy-wide announcement about the reviewing process, I have posted it at the end of this message.

You will probably be asked to review up to three submissions within January 15, 2009 (Submission Deadline) to February 13 (Review Deadline) as well as review early submissions coming in before the submission deadline. You will be notified about papers you will be reviewing by January 23, 2009. Please check your schedule to make sure that you will be able to take part in the reviewing process during this time period. I do hope you'll decide to contribute as a reviewer for the MSR this year. In addition, if you know colleagues and/or PhD students who might like to review papers, please feel free to pass this message on to them as well as activate them for the purpose.

I am looking forward to your and your colleagues’ participation as reviewers and thus help make our program in Chicago the best it can be.

    Thanking you

    Debu (Program Chair)

Subject: AOM 2009 Annual Meeting Reviewer Participation

    Dear Academy of Management Member:
    >
    > The Academy is recruiting reviewers for its 2009 Annual Meeting Program.
    >
    > If you are interested in being a part of the review process, we highly encourage you to sign up as a volunteer reviewer for the divisions or interest groups in which you are a member, planning to submit to, or are interested in. Divisions and Interest Groups will also be following up with those of you who have reviewed in the past. Please note that even if you have reviewed in the past, you still need to re-sign up for the 2009 Annual Meeting.
    >
    > You can sign up to review for up to three divisions and/or interested groups, and you may be asked to review up to three submissions per division or interest group that is selected. So the maximum total number of review assignments that you could potentially receive is nine. The review period for the 2009 Annual Meeting is from January 15, 2009 (Submission Deadline) to February 13, 2009 (Review Deadline). However, you might be asked to review early submissions that come in before the submission deadline. Please check your work schedule to make sure that you will be able to review during this period.
    >
    > Being a reviewer will add more visibility to you and your institution and give you an opportunity to be more involved in the Academy's program. We hope that you strongly consider reviewing for at least one division or interest group.
    >
    > To sign up, please visit <http://review.aomonline.org/> and click the "Sign Up Now" button in order to create a profile and choose your areas of expertise (i.e. keywords) for the divisions or interest groups for which you want to review. The sign-up process is fast and easy and should not take longer than 5 minutes.
    > Thank you in advance for your participation. Without your effort and support, there would not be an Annual Meeting.
    Best regards,
    > Susan E. Jackson, 2009 Program Chair
