    Apologies for cross posting

    Hi All,

Does anyone have any team building exercises that deals with perception
issues? I have been asked to lead a few sessions for a staff conference
in March with approximately 40 Senior Level Managers (Both Civilian and
Military). The theme of the conference is Unity of Effort. As I break
down the core functions this topic could be categorized into leveraging
    precepts, perceptions and personalities.

I look forward to your help and suggestions!

    Sincerely,
    Bart

I've developed and implemented a perception process based on Beck and Cowan's Spiral Dynamics and the "All Levels" component of Wilber's AQAL Integral Theory.  In a roll-playing process, participants assume the roles at various levels of values development (what B&C call "vMemes") as they try to resolve a hypothetical issue.

I've also melded this process with the "Big Mind" process developed by Genpo Roshi, with very interesting results.  In either case, the point is to give people an embodied experience of the various levels of consciousness existing within themselves so that they can see that they can occupy whatever "level" they choose along the spectrum of consciousness. These processes also help people develop an "ear" for vMemes, so that can hear better the level from which someone is speaking.

Let me know if you'd like more info on this.

Several of you asked for more information about the processes I referred to in my response to Bart's posting.  I've recorded and posted two YouTube clips (total of about 11 minutes between the two) that explain three examples of group processes I've used involving Spiral Dynamics/Integral Institute developmental perspectives, one of which (described in Clip 1) also involving Big Mind.  Enjoy!
