    Dear Colleagues,

One of my thesis advisors and all-time favorite professors at Yale, Richard Hackman, has passed away.  He was widely admired in the Academy of Management, and after he left Yale and went to Harvard he continued to be a significant force there.

Here is a wonderful article about the man and the mentor:  http://www.thecrimson.com/article/2013/1/16/richard-hackman-psychology-pioneer/

Although he never specifically got involved in the MSR field, he always encouraged me to find my unique contribution – even if it wasn't mainstream.  I owe him a lot.

    Blessings, Judi
