    PERMISSION TO POST REQUESTED

    Dear academic and practitioner professionals:

The present financial and economic crises create visions of what's ahead
coupled with high levels of uncertainty and ambiguity demanding and
creative solutions to the national and global problems leaders and managers
    are confronted with.

The AoM/IAoM developed a conceptual framework known as M.E.L.T.
(Management, Education, Leadership, Technology) to frame issues and
generate research questions related to the current crises that are of
interest to management scholars and practitioners. Given the current
socioeconomic climate and uncertainty, the AoM/IAoM believes that
academics and practitioners are uniquely positioned to represent their
    concerns and issues.

We therefore specifically invite interested parties to present their
assessments of the current situation, critiques of outdated management,
leadership, and educational theories, propose new paradigms or best
    practices
given the current socio-economic climate at the annual conference of the
Association of Management and International Association of Management
    (AoM/IAoM),
    August 06-08, 2009, Bloomington, MN.

modules: (1) Logos to reflect the rational aspects of leadership; (2) Eros
focused on relationships between leaders and followers; (3) Ethos or
