  • 1.  MSR Retreat?

    Posted 04-28-2009 15:33
    Hi Everyone,

Is there an MSR retreat this year? If so, can someone please send me the
information? I need to complete my travel request soon.

I left academia four years ago to focus on running the International Center
for Spirit at Work. As some of you may know, I just accepted a position at
the University of Arkansas, and I will be getting involved in MSR again.

I am the Director of the new Tyson Center for Faith and Spirituality in the
Workplace at the Sam M. Walton College of Business.

MSR member David Miller worked with John Tyson, Chairman of Tyson Foods (an
organization that has received the International Spirit at Work award for
its chaplaincy program), to design this endowed chair position. Other MSR
members - Andre Delbecq, Martin Rutte, and Bob Giacolone, have been
instrumental in helping the University of Arkansas to refine this position
and to establish some broad ideas about what the mission of the Center
    should be.

I am honored to have been chosen for this position, and consider MSR to be
one of my primary resources as I develop this new Center. I also hope that
this Center will be a resource for MSR.

I look forward to seeing old friends and making new friends at the Academy
    this summer.

    Warm Regards,

    Judith Neal, Ph.D.

    Judi and all MSR folks,

Judi and all -- MSR Retreat info attached. What a delight to have you with
us! I did not know about your appointment but am thrilled for you -- and
for them that they have made such a wonderful choice for this impressive new
    position.

The Retreat is in Chicago near the lake and the AOM Conference and, thanks
to the earlier end of AOM, will be three nights rather than two (which also
save money as overnight there is MUCH cheaper than in the AOM hotel).

Looking forward to seeing you and let us know what you might like to lead as
    part of the Retreat.
