Apologies for cross-postings, but submissions on potential intersections between spirituality, religion, and management education are most welcome! We are particularly interested in proposals for potential AMLE essays. Ben

    2010 AMLE Writers Workshop

AMLE will be sponsoring its 4th annual Writers Workshop during the 2010 Academy of Management meetings. The workshop will be Friday, August 6, 1 – 3 pm at Le Palais Des Congres, Room 511E.

The workshop will have two parts: (1) a brief presentation and discussion relevant to the publication of articles in the Research & Reviews (R&R) and Essays, Dialogues, and Interviews (EDI) sections, and (2) small group discussions of selected research proposals of workshop participants facilitated by experienced AMLE authors who also are editorial board members.  The workshop primarily will be devoted to receiving specific feedback on preliminary manuscripts submitted by respective participants in advance of the workshop, and only participants with manuscripts selected in advance of the workshop will be invited to attend.  We intend to have facilitator-led table discussions that focus on either the R&R section or the EDI section, so proposed manuscripts targeting either section are most welcome.  Please note that participation in the workshop does not guarantee subsequent publication, but it should help along that path.

To be considered for participation in the workshop, you need to submit a preliminary manuscript. Preliminary manuscripts will be due to the AMLE office (amle@aom.pace.edu) by June 1, 2010, and notification of acceptance will occur on or before June 15, 2010.  Please note that accepted manuscripts and authors will not be listed in the Academy program.
