Hello, Judi. Good to see your name on an email! What a scam. That you for sharing this with us. It is so wrong for people to do things like this to unsuspecting people.
How are your involvements going? Our Academic Dean, who attended your conference a year or two ago, finished her dissertation this past and I was able to be on the committee. She did a wonderful job!!! This was Joanna Beth Tweedy. I think it has lots of potential for publication via using the concepts for articles and papers.
I am still teaching at Benedictine University in Springfield. However my status may change in about 2-3 semesters. They are discontinuing the traditional programs, one which-Elementary Education-is my main contract. We are now "teaching out" juniors and seniors in the Education degree. As soon as all of them complete course work and Student Teaching our department will cease to exist. Very sad.
BU @ Springfield will keep graduate programs, which are done as cohorts on weekends and evenings. I teach in some of those, but they are not full time employment. E.g. Management and Organizational Development, Ethics, Large Group Process, etc.
One of those Edgewater moments in life.
Take care and many blessings,
Sr. Marilyn Jean Runkel, Ph.D.
I just came across this article in Fast Company (which is not an academic journal) about a Harvard researcher who purposely submitted a fake article to medical journals that ask for publishing fees. I thought you might find his results very interesting.
