    Dear MSR colleagues,

We are writing to invite you to the MSR Scholarly Research and Publishing Consortium on August 3rd at AOM in Atlanta.

Please join us for the consortium whether or not you are "on the program" as that phrase is commonly used.

If you have submitted a proposal (or two or three) for this year's program, you have very probably received the good news or the not so good news.

Please accept our congratulations if the news is good and our condolences if it was not.

As always, there were many great manuscripts submitted and because of limited space, some of you may be disappointed not to be included in the program.

Fortunately for all of you – those who submitted proposals and those who did not -- there is an excellent option -- you can be part of our dedicated MSR Scholarly Research and Publishing Consortium that will be held on:

Thursday, August 3rd 2017 from 9 am to 5 pm in the Gemini room at the Double Tree Atlanta Downtown Hotel, 160 Ted Turner Drive, NW, Atlanta GA 30303.

For those of you wanting to participate and needing documentation of attendance acceptance for your university, we will be happy to provide this documentation.

Space is limited to 30 individuals so please do send in your registration to

Eleftheria Egel (ee@amfortas.eu) as soon as possible. While attendance is

free, MSR membership and AOM registration is required.

Attendance to the Research Consortium is for the entire day: lunch is

    provided (and is free).

Here is some information on the Consortium:

AOM Atlanta MSR Research Consortium: At the Interface of Business, Ethics and Spirituality.

The schedule provides a panel dialogue in the morning, lunch, then split-off-groups by table for peer-to-peer and senior researcher coaching and support on on-going research projects the participants are encouraged to bring.

The morning session will feature an interactive panel of expert MSR

contributors who will discuss the interface of Business, Ethics, and

    Spirituality.

Specifically, they will explore the common space/relationship between ethics and spirituality and will explore the contribution of spirituality to the

practice of business ethics. Formal codes of ethics are based on normative

principles that set forth ideal goals to which organizations should aspire.

They determine the desired behavior among employees and managers and toward external stakeholders.

However, in practice the codes of ethics cannot dictate specific behaviors,

as they do not necessarily inspire genuine moral commitment and authentic moral practice to employees and managers who are called to take decisions and resolve particular ethical dilemmas. Eventually, the choice of decision and action is the self-expression of the decision-makers and depends on their individual ethicality.

A question we would like to explore during the session is How in a general

way would spirituality be related to business ethics?

How do human beings make ethical decisions?

How can spirituality improve/enhance the ethicality of management decisions?

Feel free to contact Eleftheria Egel   ee@amfortas.eu for further inquiries and registration.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Atlanta in a few months!

    Warm regards,

    Jim
