Welcome to MSR! There has been a lot of work done on spirituality and leadership and you should start with the work of Jody Fry, an active MSR member. Go to his International Institute for Spiritual Leadership at

Regarding spirituality in African work contexts, I highly recommend the book by Barbara Nussbaum, Personal Growth African Style: leadership for a more human world. You can contact her at Barbara Nussbaum <

I am a new member of AOM and of the Management, Spirituality and Religion Interest Group and I was just thrown into creating a new research project on spirituality in business with special regard to spiritual leadership and I am not very familiar with this topic yet.
Could anyone of you please give me some ideas about books/articles which show the state of the art and/or build the foundations of research conducted in this area?
