    WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) is currently inviting applications for the position of a Full Professor of Change Management at the Department of Management.

    WU is the largest business university in the European Union and is centrally located at the heart of Europe. The University maintains an excellent position as a center for research and teaching and attracts an international group of students and faculty. It offers a broad range of subjects in all areas of economics and business administration. WU is one of only five EQUIS accredited universities in the German-speaking world and is striving to achieve a top position among the leading European business universities.     The successful candidate is expected to have the following qualifications:

    Essential

    ·         solid academic qualification (e.g. PhD, habilitation) in the field of management or a related area

    ·         an international reputation in high-quality scholarship through publishing in leading academic journals and presenting at top-tier conferences

    o    in areas linked to one or several of the current activities of the Institute for Change Management and Management Development, such as organizational learning, change management, organizational design, organizational commitment, management development

    o    and in the area of strategic management, e.g. strategic networks; mutual dependencies of macro-level institutions and organizational strategy; strategy development, implementation and evaluation; strategic contextual analysis

    ·         proven record of attracting funding for empirical research, in particular from scientific grant agencies

    ·         proven track record of excellent teaching at different levels, including executive education

    ·         a proven track record of serving the scientific community

    ·         teaching experience in English and in German

    ·         social skills (e.g. the ability to work in teams)

    Desirable

    ·         participation in academic self-governance

    ·         proven leadership qualities

    Teaching responsibilities will include courses in the introductory phase of WU's bachelor programs and the Institute's specialization area ('SBWL'), in the master program "Management", in doctoral programs, and in executive education.
