    Dear MSR Colleagues,

It was wonderful seeing so many of you at AOM during the MSR events, including the MSR retreat.  I am grateful we have this MSR listserve to keep in touch throughout the year.

A colleague of mine in India, William Miller, asked me to forward this request for people to help validate a values-centered innovation assessment tool.  William is also one of the creators of the Spiritual Based Leadership Program that has recently been transferred to the Tyson Center for Faith and Spirituality in the Workplace.  He writes:

A favorite part of our work at VCI – Values Centered Innovation – is developing new materials to give people insights into themselves on a variety of competencies for being innovative at work.

We're currently in the 2nd stage of validating a new self-assessment for our IT desktop-and-cloud Numitm Innovation Enablement System, which includes an area for building self-awareness and competency to do any kind of work more innovatively.

We are quite excited about how the new assessment will give people insights into themselves on seven of the most basic concepts and skills for being innovative at work:

    ·         The art and discipline of innovation

    ·         Creativity and innovation

    ·         Incremental and breakthrough solutions

    ·         Everyone vs. specialists as innovative

    ·         Learning and innovating as a breathing rhythm

    ·         Implicit and explicit values to motivate innovation

    ·         Engagement in 5 different kinds of innovative work

Once we finish our validation process, we'll prepare a personalized feedback report for you, which will offer you insights into how you exercise your creative, innovative potential at work.

And if you could have other people at the university (students or faculty) take it as well, that would be super – the more people in our initial data base, the better the validation analysis at this stage.

This link will be available until Monday, 27 August. After that time we will continue our validation work and send your feedback.

If you have any questions, please feel free to write back or call me at 91-98803-47767.

    With hearty thanks,

    William Miller, wmiller@vcihome.com

    Thanks for your involvement!

    Warmly,

    Judi Neal, Ph.D.
