CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS: Two New Books on Poverty and Management Education
Greenleaf Publishing, the PRME Secretariat, and CEEMAN have announced they will publish a two book series on poverty and management education.
Book 1 will be a combination of case studies and current action research describing how businesses and civil society organizations are working to alleviate poverty in local and global communities. It will be an edited collection with global perspectives and intends to provide conceptual and research rationales for why management education and management institutions must address the issue of poverty.
Topic categories are broad and can include, but are not limited to, inclusive business models, social entrepreneurship, child poverty, human rights, regional challenges, leadership challenges faced by multinational enterprises, SMEs, civil society organizations, marginalized/indigenous communities and public policy issues. Also to be addressed in this volume are management educations responses to these challenges.
Book 2 will be collection of innovative teaching and program/module ideas to help faculty integrate the topic of poverty into their own teaching and gain support for the legitimacy of poverty as an important management education topic in their institutions. A more detailed call for papers for Book 2 will be disseminated in October 2013.

We highly welcome and strongly encourage your contributions to the two upcoming books on WHY (Book 1) and HOW (Book 2) to integrate poverty-related issues into management education.
