The Seton Cove Spirituality Center is an interfaith organization that each year brings a nationally-known speaker to Austin. The program is in honor of the Center's founder, Sr. Mary Rose McPhee. Past speakers have included Parker Palmer and Otto Scharmer.
We are honored and excited that this year's speaker will be Margaret Benefiel, Ph.D. Dr. Benefiel teaches at the Andover Newton Theological School in Boston and at the Milltown Institute in Dublin, Ireland, and is the CEO of Executive Soul LLC, a global firm that offers consulting, coaching, and spiritual direction for leaders and organizations. She is the author ofSoul At Work: Spiritual Leadership in Organizations (Seabury Books, 2005) and The Soul of a Leader: Finding Your Path to Success and Fulfillment (Crossroad, 2008), She has also been published extensively in journals related to leadership and spirituality. I have used her Soul at Work in my Spirituality and Work class.
The McPhee Lecture will take place from 7:00-8:30PM on Thursday, October 25 on the St. Edward's University Main Campus in the Ragsdale Center, Jones Auditorium. Dr. Benefiel's topic will be "The Soul of Leadership." Cost is $50 ($35 student and senior).
The experiential, interactive McPhee Workshop will take place from 8:30AM-3:00PM on Friday October 26 on the St. Edward's University Main Campus in the Ragsdale Center, Mabee Ballrooms. The topic will be "Discernment and Change in Tough Economic Times." The afternoon portion of the Workshop will be based on the work of Robert Kegan and Lisa Lahey's Immunity to Change. Cost is $275 ($240 nonprofits) and includes breakfast and lunch.

EARLY BIRD SPECIAL PRICING is available until Saturday, September 1, 2012. A "package deal" that includes both the Lecture AND Workshop is available for $250. After September 1 that package increases to $300.
