I'm excited to announce that on July 8th, Routledge Press will publish my first book, "Conversations About Calling: Advancing Management Perspectives." It is an interdisciplinary exploration of the definition of calling, how it has changed over centuries, and the practical implications of those shifts for human resource management, organizations and society. As such, it is relevant to management scholars, consultants, psychologists, career counselors, leaders/managers, clergy and anyone who is interested in meanings of work, work ethics and calling. My goal for exploring practitioner and theological literature was to identify elements of theory that could advance our research and practice, and elevate business practices. Serendipitously, findings in the book are aligned with this year's AOM theme: Capitalism in Question.
