    Dear MSR Members and Friends,

As we approach the end of another year, the leadership of MSR would like to say “thank you” for your encouragement and support in 2014. We have shared many experiences that continue to make our interest group unique in its mission to bring spirituality to the forefront as we serve for the common good.

We would like to share several reminders as we look forward to the New Year:
    1) PDWs, scholarly papers and symposia submissions for the 2015 AOM conference in Vancouver are due January 13th.
    2) Division and Interest Group officer and representative nominations open early in 2015.
    3) A voting ballot for bylaws revisions will be emailed early in the new year.
    4) The MSR Retreat location is Bowen Island Lodge near Vancouver. Spaces are limited; therefore, plan to register early.
    5) Please renew or maintain your membership in MSR when renewing your AOM membership.

A number of you are already ahead in preparing for the conference. For this we say “thank you” for your diligence and commitment. However, many of us are still lingering in the final moments of 2014.

As we end this year, I would like to share one of my most memorable reflections of the holiday season. In the midst of the moments we share with loved ones and the various gifts we receive, there is one gift that continues to embrace our attention during this time of giving.

Handel captured the essence of this gift in the Messiah. Here is a link to Handel’s Messiah as performed by the London Symphony Orchestra:

As we share the true gift of life, may you and those in your care be blessed with love, joy and peace this holiday season.

    2014-2015 MSR Interest Group Chair
