Dear Tom,
I am currently a doctoral candidate at Washington University in St Louis (Org Behavior). In my life prior to academia, I worked in luxury retailing. In my first management job, I relied heavily on the Tao te Ching and it's teachings. I attempted to incorporate the lessons of the Tao into my management practice - especially as it related to conflict management and creating meaning for the type of work we were doing. I do not claim to have any level of expert knowledge of the Tao, but I find the lessons very powerful, and I do believe that incorporating the thinking into my work was beneficial for me as well as those who worked for me and with me.
I am certainly interested to learn more about how you are thinking about a potential PDW. I am also interested in collaborating with you, if you believe that my background and interest is aligned with the goals of the PDW. I would be happy to share more with you about my experiences and how I feel they shaped our work environment.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Luckman

Subject: PDW Submission With a Daoist Perspective
Dear All
I would like to submit a PDW proposal incorporating Daoist approaches that help individuals and by extension organizations, find meaning . Briefly the Daoist view is that a certain kind of cultivation helps one return to one's universe given innate self, thereby providing access to universal knowledge. While this might sound esoteric, there are practical means by which this can be discussed, practiced and implemented.
Is there anyone with knowledge of Daoism who would be interested in collaborating on presenting a PDW with this theme?
