YOUNG Chair and Professor  Management  California State University, Los Angeles  5151 State University Drive  Los Angeles, CA 90032  T 323.343.5256 calstatela.edu  |  Pushing Boundaries California State University, Los Angeles ANNOUNCEMENT OF OPENING   DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT, College of Business and Economics   POSITION:  One tenure-track, Assistant Professor position for the Management programs.                                                                                              STARTING DATE:  August, 2016.    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. or equivalent in Management or a related field with an emphasis in social responsibility from an accredited institution of higher education, qualifying the candidate as a Scholarly Academic by AACSB standards. Experience or expertise in corporate social responsibility and ability to teach in a related field, e.g., general management. Candidates should provide a record of or potential for scholarly activity and a record of effective teaching using a variety of methodologies. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in oral and written communication, and an ability or interest in teaching in a multicultural, multiethnic environment.   DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  The best applicant will have a secondary area of teaching and scholarly interest that complements the current faculty.  Areas of need include one or more of the following: management, healthcare management, human resource management, organizational behavior, or social entrepreneurship.   DUTIES:  In addition to teaching, duties include student advisement and committee service for the Department, College of Business and Economics, and the University.   THE UNIVERSITY: California State University, Los Angeles, a comprehensive urban university and one of 23 campuses that comprise The California State University system, offers programs in more than 50 academic and professional fields.  The campus is located at the eastern edge of Los Angeles, adjacent to the western San Gabriel Valley, with approximately 28,000 full and part-time students reflecting the rich, ethnic diversity of the area.  The University is committed to student-centered learning, free scholarly inquiry and academic excellence.  The College of Business and Economics is an AACSB accredited school.
