    ACADEMY OF MANAGEMENT

BEST PRACTICE IN DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION AWARD

Diversity and Inclusion Theme Committee (D&ITC) (established September 1, 2010) is charged to (1) cultivate and advocate ethical behavior in all aspects of our work; (2) provide a dynamic and supportive community for all of our members, embracing the full diversity of our backgrounds and experiences; (3) respect each of our members' voices and seek to amplify their ideas (http://group.aomonline.org/ditc/).

The Diversity & Inclusion Theme Committee (D&ITC) and the Practice Theme Committee (PTC) of the Academy of Management are calling for nominations for the D&ITC Best Practice in Diversity and Inclusion Award.

Past winners of the AOM D&ITC Award have been: HR Division Ambassadors (2014)

The D&ITC award aims to recognize exemplary diversity and inclusion best practices that have achieved, or are currently achieving, notable impact on diversity and inclusion in practice, teaching, or research. Nominees must specifically demonstrate how the practices, programs, teaching, or research conducted by the division, interest group, or committee have made notable impacts on advancing diversity and inclusion. Collaborative practices between or among groups that foster diversity and inclusion can illustrate best practices effectively; however, groups may not apply jointly. Rather, a single group, ideally the group that leads and assumes most duties and efforts should be the one nominated on behalf of the joint efforts.

    2016 Selection Committee:

Professors Christina Stamper (Western Michigan University), Jay Goosby Smith (The Citadel), and Michal Biron (University of Haifa, Israel)
