Updates
Andre Delbecq's passing has hit many of us hard. Andre had agreed to give the opening keynote at the IAMSR conference and we will miss him greatly. We will honor Andre as a person and as a scholar, including a symposium to recognize his impact on both practitioners and academics in the field Management, Spirituality and Religion.
Transformative Teaching Track: A growing number of teachers in higher education want to go beyond simply conveying knowledge and skills. Exploratory research in MSR revealed an array of creative approaches to stimulate students to reflection deeply on what kind of persons they wish to become and how they will contribute to the society. The Transformative Teaching and Learning PDW sponsored by MED at AOM brought together a diverse group of passionate people who had only a couple of hours to learn and share. The transformative teaching track at IAMSR invites scholars to explore approaches, best practices, student responses, obstacles and more over the entire two and a half days of the conference!
The Management Teaching Review will do a special issue, open only to participants in IAMSR. This will provide an excellent forum for innovative teaching ideas and practices to reach a wider audience. For more on the criteria for selection, go to the MTR Website: https://us.sagepub.com/en-us/nam/management-teaching-review/journal202457#description
Springer Publishers has expressed interest in publishing a volume of selected papers from IAMSR. Nick Philipson will conduct a workshop on publishing in the field.
More information coming soon on these and other exciting opportunities at IAMSR 2017!
