    Esteemed fellow researchers/scholar-practitioners, Greetings!

Through this email, we will like to cordially invite you to kindly consider contributing a chapter (5,000 - 7,500 words) in our forthcoming Handbook of Engaged Sustainability to be published by Springer in 2018. If you have already submitted your chapter proposal before, thank you so much!

We have a cadre of over 40 contributing authors from across the 6 continents who have already committed to publish their work in this august volume. We are still accepting a few more chapter proposals at this time from authors/practitioners with established footprint in this field.

This is a Major Reference Work and serves as a sequel to our initial volume, Spirituality and Sustainability, published by Springer in July 2016.

Focusing on the practice of environmental sustainability, this handbook will explore the application of sustainability in a variety of contemporary contexts-from economics of consumption and growth to government policy and sustainable planet. Our idea is to garner "big-picture awareness" and a "cosmic vision" of sustainability, a vision that extends from our homes and neighborhoods to our communities, to states, countries, globe, galaxy, and envelops the entire Universe!

Please see the attached concept outline for a list of topics and pedagogical features.  The list of topics is only suggestive and by no means exhaustive.  Feel free to suggest novel topics of your interest within the domain of engaged sustainability.

If the topic and theme resonate with you, please respond by Nov. 30, 2016 or earlier with:

    1.      A tentative title and a brief description of your proposed chapter (150 words)
    2.      A brief bio listing your research interests and some previous publications (100 words)

The time line for the submission of the contributor's complete final chapter will be November 30, 2017.

Kindly please feel free to share this email with your colleagues who may be interested in the topic of sustainability.

More than one author may also collaborate in contributing a chapter.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration and we look forward to having you on board.

    Warm and Respectful Regards,

    Satinder Dhiman
