Dear Michael,
I was thinking of this initial idea.
Title: Humanistic entrepreneurship theory and practice: A critical realist approach
Topic and significance:
Humanistic entrepreneurship theory aims to explain how morally developed business leaders contribute to the integral development of employees, facilitated by culture leadership and business skills while working within the context of industry conditions and practices. The theory was developed from a positivist epistemology and refined using a critical realist approach
which, it is argued, provides a richer and more morally grounded understanding of people-centered entrepreneurial activity.
Research methodology and findings
The methodology is critical realist theory-building utilizing entrepreneurial leadership case studies. Critical realist research aims at explaining phenomena by inferring the underlying mechanisms causing such phenomena. The cases of Bernido "Bernie" Liu of Golden ABC and Elizabeth Lee of Universal Motors illustrate how business strategy and human development can be successfully intertwined under moral business leadership, even under competitive pressures, as posited by humanistic entrepreneurship theory.
