Dear MSR members,
As a member of the MSR division, I am currently supervising an MA Organizational Psychology research project aimed at investigating the meaning and measurement of four spiritual virtues at work– compassion, meaningful work, mindfulness and transcendence. Specifically, we are examining how these virtues manifest in the workplace and their relationship with important outcomes, including affective well-being, organizational commitment and turnover intention. Our hope is that by developing sophisticated measures of these virtues and linking them to other important outcomes, more organization's will be willing to integrate them into an expanded model of organizational performance.
In order to properly validate the measure, we need a diverse sample of professionals to complete the pilot instrument. So far, we are about half way towards meeting our goal of 600 respondents. To help us reach our goal we are inviting as many MSR members as possible to PLEASE complete the 15-20 minute online survey! Beyond our deep gratitude for your assistance, participants will be given the option of receiving a copy of the published dissertation, including the final measure. I would also be delighted to help any other scholars in disseminating their research more broadly within my academic and professional network.
