    Dear MSR Members:

     

    Greetings from Copenhagen, Denmark! I am sure to join with Stacie Chappell, our PDW chair, in sending word of our thanks for everyone who took the time to research and prepare scholarly paper, symposium, and professional development workshop submissions to our Interest Group for the August 2018 Academy of Management Conference in Chicago. I think it fair to say we enjoyed an abundance of good works. It is an amazing process to witness and try to be of service. Too, a proper (if virtual) bow of gratitude is due our many reviewers who took such time and care to help in this now very global process of double or single-blind peer review. 

     

    Statistics on submissions and other data will be available later. For now, do look to the hotel reservation system and note that MSR activities will be centered at the Chicago Marriott hotel. You can see where different division and interest group sessions are being planned for by clicking on the "Click here to get a list of division meeting locations" link found on this "Hotel Accommodations" webpage:

    Symposium that MSR co-sponsors, when the lead sponsor is another DIG, are not sited by our Interest Group. I do not have any information about those Symposium sites at present. 

     

    Currently, Stacie and I are working with the Academy of Management staff to finalize the schedule of PDWs and Scholarly Program events. We are doing our best to keep the schedule sequentially viable, and avoid too many MSR events happening at the same time. This may oblige us to opt for smaller rooms over large, but cozy was how the very first founding MSR session at the Academy is characterized by those who attended, and now Danish hyggeligt has made cozy a veritable global trend.

    Don't forget to choose MSR as one of your groups of choice when you renew your AOM membership!   Wonderful things happen when you connect and engage in MSR through your membership.   Your membership helps to ensure a growing, vital and healthy MSR community and helps to develop the MSR field.  It also adds to the amount of program time the AOM allots for MSR in the AoM program every year.
