Call for Volunteer: Tech Producer for 2026 MSR Research Colloquium
The MSR Research Committee is seeking an experienced volunteer Tech Producer to support the upcoming 2026 MSR Research Colloquium (June 11–12, 2026).
This role is essential to the success of the Colloquium. We are specifically seeking an experienced hand in planning and producing a large-scale virtual academic event across multiple time zones, ideally someone who has experience producing the MSR Research Colloquium and/or the MSR Virtual Retreat, and who understands the distinctive rhythm and community ethos of MSR events.
The Tech Producer role includes (but is not limited to):
- Planning and scheduling the 2026 MSR Research Colloquium
- Coordinating closely with the MSR Research Committee and presenters before, during, and after the event
- Recruiting and coordinating appropriate volunteer support
- Teaching and mentoring volunteers in production roles, helping build internal capacity for future MSR events
- Managing Zoom and related platforms during live sessions
- Supporting session chairs, presenters, and participants with tech preparation and troubleshooting
- Ensuring high-quality session recordings and timely post-event replays
