Dear TGCI Mailing List Subscribers,
TGCI is in need of 10 volunteers to become co-developers of a short course aimed at building the global citizenship understanding and skills of young development professionals. The course has been developed by a TGCI Leadership team and is now ready for beta testing with a small group of participants from different countries. Would you or anyone you know be interested in helping us beta test and further develop the course?
Course Goals:
- To understand the meaning, importance and practice of global citizenship in the 21st century.
- To learn research, problem-solving and communication skills that can be used to solve global issues.
Becoming a Short Course Co-developer requires participating as a student once a week for a six week period in this online course ( targeted to be given from early February to mid-March of 2024); and then spending an additional hour doing assignments to be presented at the next class.
The requirements for applying involve holding a junior level position with leadership responsibility in a national, international, or NGO development agency; having the time to participate in weekly classes and do related assignments, and being able to speak and write well in English.
Those who are accepted for these positions will receive a Course Certificate of Achievement and be listed as a co-developer on the course website.
