We are delighted to announce our upcoming annual MSR Colloquium, on the theme of "The Interplay of Artificial Intelligence and Global Consciousness: Implications for Organizations and Society." This free fully virtual/online event will be online, using zoom, on July 26-27, 2023.
This MSR Colloquium event will explore a wide range of themes at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Consciousness in the context of business and society. These include its benefits as a powerful enabling infrastructure, as well as its downsides including existential risk to society itself. We will explore the innovations and transformations in management education from AI and development of consciousness. We will also explore the ethical considerations in the deployment and utilization of AI including its impact on fostering and understanding spiritual and religious diversity. There will be discussions on AI's overall influence on workplace dynamics and employee perception, and creation of social/spiritual entrepreneurship opportunities. Finally, we will discuss how AI and Consciousness can contribute to human unity and flourishing, and a sustainable and peaceful world.
There will also be a primer session on the evolution of AI, and a tutorial on the use of popular AI tools such as ChatGPT. Artificial Intelligence (AI) in this context refers to the development of computer systems capable of performing tasks that normally require human intelligence. This includes, but is not limited to, understanding natural language, recognizing patterns, solving complex problems, learning from experience, and making decisions. The applications of AI in management contexts would include aid in decision-making, enhancing workplace practices, fostering communication, and supporting overall organizational effectiveness.
This colloquium will also include traditional research presentations. There will also be presentations on traditional MSR themes. These include, but are not limited to, how spiritual and consciousness-based management models impact organizational success, through promoting sustainability, creativity, and dharma or higher purpose.
