    Intellectual Shamans.
    Wayfinders.
    Edgewalkers.
    Gnostic Intermediaries.
    Quantum Leaders.
    Etc.

How would you refer to this group of collective practitioners? What language would you use?

    Thank you!

The collective usually refers to them as lightworkers

With all due respect to those who help, there are enough who may be simply called charlatans.

Dr. Yehuda Baruch added "Charlatans" which is a great, relevant and applicable term. And, given my experience and exposure to many spiritual leaders in India and elsewhere, I can add the following terms to extend Dr. Baruch's idea of Charlatans.
    Fake-Gurus
    Impostors
    Phoneys
    Quacks
    Exploiters
    Cheaters
    freeloaders
    leeches
    Pseudo-experts
    Scriptural-twisters
    Magicians
    Parasites

Oh my goodness, I'm so glad I posed this question! Thank you, Mahima, Ravi, and Yehuda for your powerful comments!

I'm working on my literature review for my Ph.D. and found myself wondering how to refer to this collection of practitioner types. Of course, there does not appear to be a broadly accepted term. The category name would appear to reflect the paradigm in which one operates, which is also interesting.

For my current draft, I was inspired by a theme in Waddock et al.'s 2016 article on Intellectual Shamans, Wayfinders, and Edgewalkers and called the category Hope-Based Practitioners (or HBPs) as a general classification. However, this still feels like a paradigm-centric (and possibly divisive) term.

If anyone could point me to published classifications speaking to these types of practitioners as a group, I would appreciate it!

    With thanks and looking forward,
    Jeannel

Maybe "pracademics" (linking practitioners and academics)? They are also boundary spanners (intellectual and other shamans are healers, connecters and sensemakers, and the folks you are discussing fill all of those roles...pracademics link between practice and academic/theory work, also playing a boundary spanning role). So do edgewalkers and others in your list.

Boundary spanners and pracademics! Thank you, Sandra! (I may have to update my LinkedIn profile with these!)

    Next question for the community:
Would you be willing to point me toward your favorite peer-reviewed research articles on these fabulous folks? (Or ANY peer-reviewed research articles on these folks?)

I've found the 2016 special issue of the Journal of Corporate Citizenship and several book chapters discussing these various practitioners. However, I have had little luck finding published research in peer-reviewed journals for these folks. I am looking for research to support my literature review, and while I know my committee would prefer articles published in 2018 forward, at this point I'd love to read anything you could share with me.

Thank you all so much for your insights, help, and support!

    Jeannel
